Dulquer Salmaan’s most hyped film ‘King of Kotha’ turned out to be a huge disappointment for both fans and film lovers. Apart from negative reviews, the movie was trolled by netizens for its poor dialogues, execution, and other factors. Recently the actress Aishwarya Lekshmi revealed that she was afraid that she would get any more movies after ‘KOK’ due to severe trolling.
In a talk with Vivek Ranjit, Aishwarya Lekshmi said, “Actually, after ‘King of Kotha’ I was genuinely afraid of whether I would get any film projects after, due to massive trolls against the movie.” She added that later she got offers to play several roles that were not much important to the storyline, except the most loved character Poonguzhali in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan’.

Aishwarya further said when she understood that it started to affect her career, she decided to rethink. Aishwarya started calling those directors whom she personally adored and told them that she was interested in working with them.
“I told them to consider me if there are any good characters that suit her and also genuinely contribute something to the storyline,” said the ‘Hello Mummy’ actress.
She further playfully said that she told them not to contact her now and then. “ I also told them I cannot text them on every occasion like Onam, Vishu, Diwali, I genuinely can’t,” Aishwarya said.
For the unversed, Dulquer Salmaan’s ‘King of Kotha ’ came with much anticipation levels. Even though the trailer, songs, and other promotional materials were impressive, the audiences were not impressed by Abhilash Joshiy’s directorial. Netizens also trolled Aishwarya Lekshmi’s character in the action drama movie.
