FOX News Books is set to release its 13th title, “Under His Wings: How Faith on the Front Lines Has Protected American Troops,” written by Emily Compagno, the co-host of FOX News’ “Outnumbered” and host of “The FOX True Crime Podcast with Emily Compagno.” The book, released on November 26, 2024, delves into the personal and profound stories of American service members who found faith during their time on the frontlines.
In “Under His Wings,” Compagno explores the intimate stories of war heroes from various conflicts, including World War I and current Middle East engagements. The book features first-hand accounts from veterans and their families, such as Save Our Allies co-founder Sarah Verardo and former Rep. Doug Collins (R-GA). Compagno also draws from her own experiences, including her time as an Oakland Raiders cheerleader visiting troops in Iraq and Kuwait on a United Service Organizations (USO) tour.
Compagno, who joined FOX News in 2018, comes from a lineage of highly decorated veterans. Her great-great Aunt Lieutenant Luella Lorenz Cochran Davis, a WWII US Army nurse, is one of the figures featured in the book, with her letters illustrating how faith supported her dedication during wartime. Compagno’s background includes practicing law since 2006 and serving in various roles, including as a federal managing attorney and Acting Director at the Social Security Administration.
To complement the book, FOX Nation will air a corresponding special titled “Under His Wings,” hosted by Compagno, on December 3, 2024. This special will further highlight the extraordinary stories of faith and service detailed in the book.
