Yogaraj’s new movie

Director Yogaraj Bhat and producer E Krishnappa have teamed up for Manada Kadalu after a gap of 18 years. Prior to this, Yogaraj Bhat directed Mungaru Male that was released in 2006. Shooting of Manada Kadalu is in progress at Bengaluru Palace.

Sumuka is playing the lead while Rasika Shetty and Anjali Anish are paired opposite him. Rangayana Raghu is playing an important character in the movie.

“I wanted to direct one more movie after Mungaru Male but could not do so as producer E Krishnappa was busy with politics and I was busy with other movies. Later, we decided to join hands to make a movie after the lockdown. The producer wanted to make the movie with newcomers.

Sumuka was selected as the hero. The shooting of the movie was held in 12 districts of Karnataka and at Murud-Janjira Fort in Maharashtra. We struggled to get permission for the shooting at the Fort. Most of the shooting is completed,’’ said Bhat, adding that Rangayana Raghu plays an adivasi in the film.

Krishnappa said that he gives importance to good content. “My objective is to select good content and bankroll the movie that has the potential to be appreciated by all,’’ said Krishnappa.
