The total number of overnight stays in classified tourist accommodation establishments in Al Haouz increased by 16% at the end of September compared to the same period in 2023, according to the Tourism Observatory.
In numerical terms, this represents a total of 613,002 overnight stays during the first nine months of 2024, compared to 529,265 during the same period in the previous year, the same source specifies.
Regarding the occupancy rate, it stood at around 72% by the end of September, compared to 66% recorded during the January-September period of 2023.
Additionally, total overnight stays in classified tourist accommodation establishments in Al Haouz saw a 25% increase in September 2024 compared to the same month in 2023.
In September 2024, a total of 78,062 overnight stays were recorded, compared to 62,605 in September 2023, as noted by the same source.
As for the occupancy rate, it reached 83% in September 2024, compared to 70% in the same month the previous year.
It is worth noting that, at the national level, the total number of overnight stays in classified tourist accommodation establishments saw a 10% increase by the end of September.
For the month of September alone, the volume of overnight stays in classified establishments also experienced a 31% increase (+19% for domestic tourists and +38% for international tourists).
