The Montana Tech hockey club will be very active in our community next week as they host Pint Night Thursday at Butte Brewing Company and Veterans Appreciation Night Friday at the Butte Community Ice Center.
Thursday, Butte Brewing Company will host Pint Night from 5 to 8pm Thursday, January 16th where you will get a preview of the special Veteran’s Night jerseys that will be put to use on Friday and get a chance to win raffle items and meet the team. Butte Brewing Company is at 465 E. Galena.
Friday evening, Montana Tech will be taking on the University of Utah in a special tribute game wearing military-inspired, limited-edition jerseys, each unique, representing various military units from here in the United States as well as Canada. There will be a special pre-game tribute and ceremonial puck drop as well as an auction for a special, framed military jersey with the number “988”, which is the number of the Veterans Crisis Line. Raffle tickets will also be available for a GForce GF25 semi automatic 12 gauge shotgun. Veterans will be admitted free of charge and profits from the game will be donated to veterans in need. The puck is set to drop at 7pm. General admission tickets are $10, students get in for $5 and kids 10 and under will gain admission at no charge.
