Batavia’s popular noontime book program Books Between Bites will offer two programs in January.
The series will be from noon to 1 p.m. in the large Founders Room at the Batavia Public Library, 10 S. Batavia Ave.
Batavian Karl Bruhn will share his extensive research Thursday, Jan. 16, about “Unique Structures of Fabyan Forest Preserve and their Fascinating Stories.”
For the past three years, Bruhn has been a docent/volunteer at the Fabyan Villa in Geneva.
He will discuss the intriguing Fabyans who once lived at the villa and share details about some of the unique structures on the property, including the laboratories.
A second program has been added Thursday, Jan. 30, to introduce the new book “The Wolf Song In Me” with author Marnie O. Mamminga and illustrator Marcy C. Parks.
As part of their presentation, Parks will provide a demonstration using the torn paper collage technique she chose for illustrating the book series. Books will be available for sale and signing.
The public is invited to attend these free programs. Reservations are not required.
Parking is available in the lot just south and adjacent to the library.
People are invited to bring their lunch and eat as they enjoy the program and discussion.
Lunch items, beverages and baked goods may be bought at Flyleaf Bakery Cafe, located just inside the library and next to the meeting room.
