Panel to focus on housing PETOSKEY — The Petoskey Chamber’s Connecting Women in Business group will start off the year with a Jan. 28 panel discussion on housing.
Participants include: Emily Boehm of Northwest Michigan Habitat for Humanity, Heidi Shearer of Pine Pond Homes and Sarah Ford of Petoskey-Harbor Springs Area Community Foundation.
The program will offer an opportunity to learn about houses currently available in the area in two developments, steps to purchasing them and other housing that is under development.
The luncheon will take place in the Library Conference Room at North Central Michigan College. Registration and networking will be from 11:30 a.m. to noon. The program will begin at noon. The event will conclude at 1 p.m.

Career Fair March 6
TRAVERSE CITY — Employers are invited to register for Northwestern Michigan College’s updated, expanded 2025 Career & Majors Fair from 1 to 6 p.m. March 6.
Registration is $50 to host a table at the region’s only career fair, which is moving to the new, larger location at the Park Place Hotel & Conference Center downtown.
A guided pathway format will showcase NMC for-credit academic areas. Dedicated space for veterans and military members will offer resume review, as well as information about financial aid, extended education and training. It is free to attend.
Shuttle service will be offered from NMC’s Front Street campus.
