BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Three students from Warren County Public Schools have been selected as ambassadors for a technology organization.
The Student Technology Leadership Program is a branch of the Kentucky Department of Education. S.T.L.P uses project based learning to empower learning and achievements for grades K-12.
Students are able to create and connect through technology as well as digital content.
South Warren High School junior, Grayson Cox, encourages others to pursue their goals. He goes on to say “it matters what you want to do and how willing you are able to chase that.”
Cox reveals his love for computer science began at an early age, and he is grateful to share his passion with like-minded individuals.
The other two representatives were the only females chosen from the area. Warren Central High School seniors, Surya Rasuli and Marlainia Weiss, say this is something they take pride in as they hope to inspire other young girls.
Rasuli reflects on this opportunity as she immigrated from Afghanistan to the United States. She says “there are girls that don’t have opportunities like this” in her home country.
Weiss adds to not allow other people hinder your goals. She says, “Don’t event listen to them” and the results will be “so worth it.”
Cox, Rasuli and Weiss will assist in production at the state S.T.L.P. competition. After high school, all three students say they are excited to pursue a career in technology.
