ACQUISITIONS
WalkerHughes Insurance, a privately held retail insurance brokerage headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, acquired Independent Brokers Agency, Ballwin, Missouri.
HELPING OUT
Boone Center, headquartered in St. Peters, Missouri, received a $280,000 donation from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The money will fund new packaging equipment for the nonprofit’s mission to empower adults with disabilities through employment.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of St. Louis received a $154,000 grant from Bayer Fund, the philanthropic arm of Bayer in the U.S., to help families seeking pediatric medical treatment in St. Louis with housing at the 72-room Ronald McDonald House in St. Louis, the 20-room house in West St. Louis County, and four family rooms in area hospitals.
