WACO, Texas (KWTX) – A longtime teacher and coach raised in Hearne and is now a best-selling author, podcaster, Youtuber and motivational speaker has a new book detailing the lives of powerful influencers.
Chip Baker’s The Impact of Influence: Volume 10: Living and Leaving a Legacy covers ground with everyone from educators to speakers and a great mix of people making a positive difference.
The book has already hit #1 in multiple categories on Amazon.
“I’m truly grateful for that,” Baker said. “I’m just grateful to have a book, but to be number one. That’s awesome.”
Baker was born in Dallas but moved to Hearne at the age of four where he was graduated Hearne High School in 1993.
The educator played football at West Texas A&M University before graduating in 1999 and then pursued his calling in the classroom and on football fields.
He’s spent 26 years in education and coached for 20 of those years.

Baker, a fourth-generation educator, coached in Conroe, as well as served as the head coach in Hearne and Oak Ridge High School.
He is now a high school special education teacher in New Waverly ISD.
He’s written 23 books and spends a lot of his time teaching others about leadership development.
His latest book will be the final of ten in his Impact of Influence series which has also included books about overcoming adversity as well as ladies and coaches using their influence.
“We wanted to end with live and leave a legacy,” Baker said. “Legacy is huge so I figured it’s a good bookend to writing about legacy.”
Baker is the creator of YouTube Channel and podcast “Chip Baker – The Success Chronicles” where he interviews people from all walks of life to share stories of positive inspiration and motivation.
“I just want to do my part to make a positive difference in the world,” Chip said.
