Jessie Ware, the British singer-songwriter, will perform during the In Memoriam section of the BAFTA Film Awards later this month.
Ware, known for tracks including “Say You Love Me,” will take to the Royal Festival Hall stage ahead of the release of her new album Superbloom on April 10.
The In Memoriam section is expected to feature tributes to former BAFTA winners, including Robert Redford and Diane Keaton.
Ware said: “It is a great honour to be performing at the BAFTAs in such an important and special moment to remember people & legends that have passed this year. I’m singing a song from one of my favourite movies by one of my favourite artists and really cannot wait to be on stage in amongst a room of such talented individuals.”
Emma Baehr, BAFTA’s executive director of awards and content, added: “Her beautiful, moving performance will offer a special moment for audiences both in the room and at home, as we pay tribute to those in the industry we have sadly lost.”
