One person has been arrested in connection with the death of two production crew members inside a parked vehicle at a film location in Lekki, Lagos.
The spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, CSP Abimbola Adebisi said the suspect had allegedly delivered food to the victims, who were later found unresponsive.
According to her, the suspect was also a member of the production crew of the same movie project.
On February 7, two individuals were found dead inside a parked tinted Nissan vehicle on the premises of Evercare Hospital Lekki, which was being used as a filming location.
The victims were identified as lighting director, Ekemini ‘GeeTee’ Imeh and his associate, Ayodeji Walter Odediran.
Both individuals had reportedly arrived early to install lighting equipment ahead of the shooting of a movie directed by former Big Brother Naija housemate, Boma.
Another production team member was said to have delivered breakfast to them at 11 am.
It was learnt that subsequent attempts to reach the duo through phone proved abortive as their calls went unanswered.
However, they were reportedly later discovered unresponsive and foaming in the mouth, with one showing blood stains around the nose and lips.
The Lagos police command spokesperson stated that the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further probe as investigators work to unravel the cause of death.
The incident occurred days after a gospel artiste, Matthew Ogundele, and three others were found dead inside a music studio in Ajah area of Lagos.
