Dubai will once again host the globally acclaimed Big Bad Wolf (BBW) book sale, much to the delight of the UAE’s bibliophiles.
Recognised as the world’s largest book sale, the event will run in the emirate from February 26 to March 8, open daily from 10 am to 2 am at Sound Stage, Dubai Studio City. For its 2026 edition, organisers have partnered with Dubai Culture and Arts Authority and Sharjah Book Authority.
Entry is free for all, giving readers of every age and interest the chance to explore millions of discounted books.
Book lover Rayan Ahmad, who visited the Ajman sale last year, is looking forward to the upcoming Dubai edition.
Recalling her previous experience, she said “it felt like stepping into a treasure hunt.”
“We went in thinking we would buy a few books, and we left with an entire box. The prices made it possible for us to explore genres we wouldn’t normally try,” Ahmad told Aletihad.
“There were thousands of books available and prices start from just Dh2.”
Similarly, university student Abdullah said the previous BBW sales in the UAE allowed him to build his personal library.
“As a student, books can be expensive, especially academic or international books,” he said. “At Big Bad Wolf, I found books I had been searching for at less than half of the usual price.”
He said he was particularly excited for the Dubai edition because of its accessibility.
“Having it in Dubai Studio City makes it easier for many people to attend. I’m planning to go more than once.”
