As we celebrate the 12th anniversary of National Forensic Science Week (Sept. 15-21), it is a privilege to highlight the critical contributions of the Canton-Stark County Crime Laboratory to our community and the field of forensic science. We honor the dedication and expertise of our team, whose critical work plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and integrity of our local legal system.
At the Canton-Stark County Crime Laboratory, we are committed to upholding the highest standards in forensic analysis. Our team works diligently to provide quality, objective and timely results in a range of forensic disciplines, including latent prints, firearms, alcohol analysis and drug analysis. Each piece of evidence we examine is treated with the utmost care, with the goal of delivering reliable information that supports our stakeholders and aids in the pursuit of justice.
National Forensic Science Week offers a valuable opportunity to recognize the tireless efforts of our staff. Their work is often conducted behind the scenes, but its impact is profound. From solving complex cases to ensuring that evidence is handled with the utmost care, our team’s expertise contributes significantly to the fair administration of justice within Stark County.
The week also serves as a reminder of the importance of ongoing support and investment in forensic science. As technology evolves, so too must our capabilities. We are committed to staying at the forefront of forensic advancements. This requires continuous investment in resources, training and technology.
I am immensely proud of the work our team does, grateful for the support of our community, and thankful for the city of Canton and the Stark Council of Governments. Let us recognize the essential role of forensic science professionals and reaffirm our commitment to supporting their invaluable work.
