Varanasi: The International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), South Asia Regional Centre (ISARC) scientists were felicitated for successfully prototyping rice value-added products, at an international conference organised at BHU, Varanasi.
This two-day event, titled ‘Emerging Paradigm Shifts in Food & Dairy Processing: Advances in Food Safety, Quality, and Sustainability,’ was organised on October 25 and 26, 2024, at Swatantrata Bhawan, BHU. The conference brought together leading researchers, industry experts, and academicians to deliberate on advancements in food safety, sustainable production, and quality innovations.
Scientists and staff from the Centre of Excellence for Rice Value Addition (CERVA) showcased their cutting-edge research and innovative projects focused on enhancing the value chain of rice-based food systems.
Scientists and staff from CERVA unit of IRRI South Asia Regional Centre were honoured with a Certificate of Recognition for outstanding collaboration with BHU in successfully prototyping instant poha made from low glycemic index (GI) rice.
