SCIENCE HILL, Ky. (WKYT) – One person is dead following a suspected DUI crash in Science Hill.
Just after midnight, Kentucky State Police say a 2014 Jeep Wrangler, operated by 19-year-old Kayleigh J. Dismuke of Eubank, was traveling northbound on US 27 when her vehicle struck a moped.
The driver of the moped, 31-year-old Dino R. Collins of Cincinnati, was ejected from the vehicle. He was transported to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Dismuke was arrested and charged with vehicular homicide while under the influence of alcohol, first degree operating a motor vehicle under the influence, failure to wear a seatbelt, and possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle.
Kentucky State Police is continuing to investigate the accident.
