Exponential Science, a non-profit foundation that promotes research, education, and innovation in blockchain, AI, and deep tech, was launched last month by respected academics Dr. Paolo Tasca and Prof Nikhil Vadgama. Their recent study on the unintended carbon consequences of bitcoin mining bans.
Today, the Exponential Science Foundation appoints former Cointelegraph editor-in-chief Kristina Cornèr as Global Head of Strategy and Partnerships to expand its strategic vision and foster global collaborations.
Cornèr’s appointment was announced by founders Dr. Paolo Tasca and Professor Nikhil Vadgama following the Foundation’s launch at the 10th Annual Peer-to-Peer Financial Systems Workshop in Dubai in October. She brings valuable experience from her tenure at Cointelegraph and is well-placed to strengthen the Foundation’s impact in interdisciplinary research and partnerships.

With seven years of experience in digital assets, Kristina Cornèr is ready to expand Exponential Science’s reach and influence. Recently, Exponential Science published its first study on the environmental impact of bitcoin mining bans, highlighting the potential increase in carbon emissions as mining moves to higher emission regions. For example, a ban in Canada could lead to a 6% increase in global CO2 emissions.
