As an integral part of new quality productive forces, rehabilitation medicine is playing a significant role in enhancing people’s health, and its concepts, knowledge and techniques have helped bolster the progress of the medical system, said scientists in Beijing.
Li Jian’an, international academician of the National Academy of Medicine of the United States, said rehabilitation medicine has received significant attention in China in recent years, its concepts, knowledge and techniques have greatly promoted the progress and development of the medical system.
He was speaking on Nov 3 at the Rehabilitation Discipline Construction Sub-forum — part of the 2024 Genertech Health Management Conference, which was co-hosted by China General Technology (Group) Co Ltd and China Health Management Association and undertaken by Genertec Health Management Technology Co Ltd with an aim to establish a high-level exchange platform.
Also speaking at the sub-forum in a keynote speech, Chen Lidian, president of the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, stressed that in the context of overall health, rehabilitation medicine is facing unprecedented development opportunities, and its concepts and practices are constantly evolving to meet people’s wish for a healthier life.
The sub-forum, which was hosted by General Technology Global Healthcare, was held with a theme of “Turning a New Page by Promoting Comprehensive Rehabilitation,” gathering over 500 participants from renowned academicians and key opinion leaders in the field of rehabilitation medicine in China, both offline and online.
Jia Dafeng, deputy general manager and a member of the Leading Party Members Group of Genertec, voiced his expectations for the future orientation of rehabilitation disciplines.
