JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) — Six Mississippi teachers received the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST).
- Jacqueline Lewis – Enterprise High School, Enterprise School District.
- Kenneth Peagler – Brandon High School, Rankin County School District
- Jana Chao – Clinton Public School District
- Jennifer Hite – Pearl Upper Elementary School, Pearl Public School District
- Leah Peavey – Brookhaven Technical Center, Brookhaven School District
- Judith Terry – Center Hill High School, DeSoto County School District
The White House announced the 336 recipients on Monday, Jan. 13.
The PAEMST is the government’s highest award for K-12 math and science teachers.
