Branislava Simanić, Director of the Entrepreneurship Sector at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS), has signed a cooperation agreement with the Tesla Science Foundation in New York. The initiative focuses on strengthening collaboration in innovation, youth entrepreneurship, and promoting Nikola Tesla’s heritage, PKS announced.
“Serbia is currently home to over 750 startup companies, and our goal is to significantly increase that number. We have launched e-innovation and startup portals and adopted a Strategy for the Development of Serbia’s Startup Ecosystem. PKS facilitates the exchange of ideas, their implementation, and supports small and medium-sized enterprises to adopt innovations more quickly. Our mission is to retain young talent in the country—this is not only a goal of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce but a shared responsibility for all of us,” emphasized Simanić during the signing ceremony.
The agreement also underscores collaboration in promoting youth and women’s entrepreneurship, alongside fostering innovation.
As part of this partnership, a conference dedicated to Nikola Tesla, youth, and innovation in entrepreneurship will be held in Belgrade from July 9 to 12, 2025. Hosted by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, the event will focus on advancing Serbia’s startup ecosystem.
Representatives from the Serbian Embassy in Washington, the scientific community, and entrepreneurs from Serbia and abroad also participated, further reinforcing global connections in honor of Nikola Tesla’s legacy, according to PKS.
