Spring Young Explorers Camps are returning to the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science (NMMNHS) this March, offering campers the chance to explore topics like New Mexico’s ancient past the science of spring, and much more.
Starting Monday, March 17 through March 21, campers in kindergarten through fifth grade will be able to explore a variety of scientific topics through fun, age-appropriate activities throughout the week. Camp runs 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
Spend the day exploring New Mexico’s dinosaurs and other ancient life forms on Monday and Tuesday of that week and learn about rockets and other space topics on Wednesday. On Thursday, campers will have a chance to observe and experiment with the green leaves and amazing plants that spring brings. Finally, spring into all things springs as campers experiment with springs and discover how we use them every day.
Each day of camp costs $90, with discounts available for museum members. Drop off begins at 8:45 a.m., and aftercare is available 4-5 p.m. for an additional $10 per day. Camps will be divided into two age groups: K-2nd and 3rd-5th, with 15 students max for each age group.
