Per Jack DeBaun’s letter (Daily Bee, Dec. 29, 2024): According to Jack, a crisis is determined by a majority vote. I maintain, however, that it is personal and relative according to the feelings of each individual. If it isn’t a crisis for you, then for you it isn’t a crisis.
I have never claimed that “modern science is inferior to 17th-century science” as Jack said. I have maintained steadfastly that “junk science” is inferior to both past and present good science. Jack should get his facts straight.
While he at least admits to Newton’s Law of Gravity, he then tries to cloud the issue by stating that “Newton’s law breaks down at high speeds and at the atomic level.”
But first of all, consider the fact that Earth revolves around the sun at no less than 66,000 miles per hour, yet Earth’s gravity is solidly intact. So speed has nothing to do with gravity.
Secondly, everything exists at “the atomic level.” All matter consists of atoms. And while one or two atoms alone do not have much mass, put a billion of them together and you create a substantial mass and resulting gravitational pull.
Einstein’s theory has nothing whatsoever to do with Newton’s Law. That’s a misleading and false claim.
My credentials? I’m just an old country boy who uses logic, reason, and common sense to expose false teachings.
Now, what are Jack’s credentials to preach the doom and gloom gospel of climate crisis as though he were some kind of expert?
