India’s indigenous knowledge systems and the future of mining sciences came into focus at IIT–ISM Dhanbad on Thursday as Vigyan Bharati marked its founding day with a programme bringing together scientists, academicians and researchers from across Jharkhand. The occasion also coincided with a meeting of the Executive Committee of Vigyan Bharati, Jharkhand.
Held at the Texmin Conference Hall of the I2H Building, the event reflected a growing emphasis on positioning Jharkhand not merely as a mineral-rich region but as a centre of knowledge, research and innovation in the mining sector.
