WEBB CITY, Mo (KOAM) – Heroes and Wizards Comic Store offers a variety of ways to enjoy science fiction for National Science Fiction Day. “That little bit of time where I don’t have to worry about did I pay all my bills, that I get this done, did I get the dishes put away in the dishwasher the right way,” Shawn Garbin, a long time friend of Heroes and Wizards Comic Store said. “It gives me that little escape from reality just kind of gives me a break.”

“Robert Heinlein writes a lot or wrote a lot of short stories where you can sit down and, you know, 30, 45 minutes and read one of his incredible stories,” Wayne Boone the owner of Heroes and Wizards Comic store said. “So that would be a great way. Just to take advantage of science fiction and reading a classic story from a classic writer.”

“I’m 50/50. Some movies I watch don’t read the books. Others I read and then watch, and then I critique the movie for not following the book. So I guess it kind of depends. I find the majority of the time the books are always better,” said Shawn.
