ARE you knowledgeable about natural science or have an interest in the fields of conservation, tourism and marketing?
Then you may be the perfect candidate for the Durban Natural Science Museum to be part of its 2026 volunteer programme.
Those applying must be 18 years or older, and have a matric with Life Sciences or Biology.

“Volunteers will have an opportunity to participate and make a contribution to the various projects of the Durban Natural Science Museum. This includes working in one of the departments, assisting visitors with information and making their visit to the museum more enjoyable and informative. A qualification or experience in the fields of conservation, travel and tourism, marketing and/ or education is preferred,” the City said in a statement.
The programme starts in February.

Application forms must be collected from and returned to the Durban Natural Science Museum, 1st Floor City Hall (Anton Lembede Street entrance) or can be emailed to [email protected].
The closing date for applications is Monday, January 19.
