SPOKANE, Wash. — The Friends of the Spokane Public Library will host its annual book sale from April 23-25 to benefit library programs.
People will be able to buy books for $1 at the Shadle Park Library (2111 W. Wellesley). Below is when the book sale will be open:
- Thursday, April 23 (Member Presale): 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Friday, April 24: 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The April 23 presale allows members of the Friends of the Spokane Public Library organization to get a first look at what is available. The sale will then open for all on April 24 and 25.
Friends of the Library is an all-volunteer group dedicated to providing more than $40,000 in funding to the Library annually. Anyone can become a member on the evening of April 23 at the book sale or online for $15 for an individual membership or $25 for a family membership.
On Saturday, April 25, guests can buy a bag of books for just $3 or a box of books for $6. Guests are encouraged to bring their own bags.
Proceeds from the sale go to the Friends of the Spokane Public Library to support library programs and resources.
