ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The 90-Second Newbery Film Festival is coming to the George Eastman Museum once again.
The festival showcases short films made by kids and teens. It aims to encourage young people to read through the making of films that tell the entire story of a Newbery Award-winning book in just 90 seconds.
News10NBC got a behind-the-scenes look at the film-making process for kids at the Harley School back in February.
“We are looking over the plot, writing a script, finding a weird twist – so we’re doing Last Stop on Market Street, but as a zombie apocalypse movie – and then we’re shooting these and editing them and hoping over these two days we will have four finished movies,” said James Kennedy, founder and director of the festival.
The festival will be held Saturday, April 25 at 2 p.m. Admission to the film festival is free. To reserve your free tickets and learn more, click here.
