Opinion: ‘Nothing to see here – yet’ is the heading on the website of the Office of the Prime Minister’s Chief Science Advisor where the latest social post is meant to be displayed.
Unfortunately, the last such post was almost four months ago, the day before former advisor Professor Dame Juliet Gerrard stepped down. She said an announcement regarding her successor was to be made in due course. ‘Nothing to see here’ may be the foreshadowing of an announcement that the position is no longer to exist. I certainly hope not.
