BALTIMORE, MD (WBFF) — McDaniel’s Bachelor of Science and Nursing program will be housed at Carroll Hospital, including offices, nursing classrooms, and labs.
Beginning in fall 2026, the program’s new infrastructure will provide students with Carroll’s Hospital “state-of-the-art facilities and early and frequent exposure to clinical work within a hospital setting, according to Cheryl Knauer, Director of Public Relations at McDaniel College.
“There are currently about 5,000 vacant RN positions across the state and that number is expected to swell to over 15,000 in the next 10 years. That is one of the main reasons why Carroll Hospital has worked closely with McDaniel College in developing the college’s new Bachelor of Science and Nursing program,” Garrett Hoover, President of Carroll Hospital, said during an event that celebrated the partnership between the institutions.
Sinai Hospital, Northwest Hospital, Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital, and Grace Medical Center will also serve as the primary clinical site placement locations for all McDaniel Nursing students.
During the celebration, President of the Kahlert Foundation Greg W. Kahlert awarded McDaniel College President Julia Jasken with a $2.5 million grant to support McDaniel’s Nursing program.
