Ministers of Science of Cuba and Azerbaijan meet during COP29
Havana, Nov 19 (RHC) The Cuban Minister of Science, Technology, and Environment, Armando Rodríguez, met with the Azerbaijani Minister of Science and Education, Emin Amrullayev.
According to the Cuban Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Carlos Valdés, the meeting took place on the sidelines of the 29th session of the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP29) in the Azerbaijani capital.
The two leaders agreed to expand cooperation in the fields of science, technology, and innovation, with a focus on areas of mutual interest. They also discussed the promotion of links between research institutions and universities in both countries.
Amrullayev expressed interest in collaboration in the field of high-performance sports, an area where Cuba has achieved significant success and recognition on the international stage.
The Cuban delegation to the COP29 sessions, which includes officials and experts from various ministries, is led by Rodríguez and supported by representatives from the Ministries of Energy and Mines and Foreign Affairs. (Source: PL)
