On Saturday, Feb. 15, the Union County Board of County Commissioners is hosting “February Festivities” at the Trailside Nature & Science Center in Mountainside.
The event will start with “The Journey of Sap to Syrup” at 9:30 a.m. During this program, visitors will be shown how to collect sap and will take part in a taste test.
At 11:15 a.m., “Fantasy, Illusion & Magic” will feature magician Joe Fisher, who will blend “magic, audicence participation, and comedy.
“Lasermania”will begin at 1:30 p.m. And, the “Winter Walk Scavenger Hunt” will begin at 2:30 p.m. During the scavenger hunt, guests will take a nature walk in search of signs of winter and then have opportunity to warm u[ by a campfire with hot cocoa.
The program is recommended for families with children 4 and older. Trailside is located at 452 New Providence Road.
