Conclusion of Curricular Competition for Secondary School Students (Science Section) in Sana’a Governorate
Sana’a – SABA:
The final qualifiers for the curricular and cultural competition for male and female secondary school students (science section) in public and private schools at the governorate level for the year 1447 AH concluded in Sana’a today.
The competition, in which schools that achieved first place at the district level competed, aimed to motivate male and female students to focus on academic achievement, instill a spirit of competition in them, and measure their academic level.
The results of the competition for public education (boys) resulted in the victory of Al-Shaheed Abu Ali Amer School in Sanhan District in first place, Al-Shaheed Al-Qasimi School in Manakha District in second place, and Al-Shaheed Abu Mohammed Al-Husseini School in Bani Hushaish District in third place.
The competitions for male secondary school students in private education concluded with the victory of Al-Qiyam School in Sanhan District in first place, Rawad Al-Teknolojia School in Hamdan District in second place, and Nahj Al-Awa’il School in Sana’a Al-Jadida District in third place.
In the final competitions for female students in public education, Umm Al-Mu’minin Khadija Secondary School in Sanhan District secured first place, Al-Nasr “Bayt Bous” School in Sana’a Al-Jadida District secured first place (shared), Al-Zahra School in Al-Sabhah in Bani Matar District secured second place, and Al-Zahra School in Shumlan in Hamdan District secured third place.
In the competition for female students in private schools, Al-Qiyam School in Sanhan District secured first place, Anwar Al-Ula School in Hamdan District secured second place, and Al-Nasser Al-Haditha School in Sana’a Al-Jadida District secured third place.
At the conclusion of the competition, the Director-General of Examinations at the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research, Najib Al-Mutari, emphasized the commitment to organizing this competition to enhance the spirit of scientific competition and develop the educational process, appreciating the interaction of schools and the resilience of the educational front despite all challenges.
He pointed out that concluding the scientific competition coincides with celebrating the Rajab Friday holiday to enhance adherence to the faith-based identity and alert to the dangers of soft war and misguided foreign cultures infiltrating society, which necessitates strengthening intellectual and cultural fortification and entrenching faith-based awareness as a first line of defense that protects identity and safeguards youth and adolescents from deviation and Westernization.
Meanwhile, the Education Sector official in the governorate, Talib Dahhan, indicated that the curricular competition, conducted through an automated method, serves as motivation for students, instilling a spirit of competition in them, measuring their level of academic achievement, and developing their educational and scientific capacities and knowledge.
The conclusion of the competition, attended by Deputy Education Sector officials in the governorate Mohammed Khamis and Sultan Al-Hakmi, heads of education departments Yahya Al-Muntasir, curricula and educational planning Mohammed Al-Fiqih, projects and equipment Ali Al-Jumhi, and directors of activities department Mohammed Al-Shawsh, guidance Mohammed Al-Humairi, and girls’ education Aisha Al-Yarimi, included diverse participations showcasing the talents of male and female students from schools in various fields and creative endeavors.
