COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Families across Central Ohio rang in the New Year early Wednesday at COSI during the science center’s annual Noon Year’s Eve celebration.
The family-friendly event gives children a chance to celebrate without staying up until midnight. From 10 a.m. to noon, COSI was filled with hands-on science activities, special demonstrations, music, dancing, and festive party favors designed for young guests.
The highlight of the morning came at noon, when families gathered for a countdown complete with confetti, marking the start of the New Year in a way that’s both exciting and kid-friendly.
Kristy Williams with COSI told ABC 6 the event blends fun with learning.
“Well noon year only happens once a year. So you’ve gotta celebrate it with your family and some of the kids aren’t big enough to stay up to midnight. So COSI is the perfect place to celebrate New Year’s Eve and have a great ring in with the family,” Williams said.
