Mysuru: R. Guhan Athreya, a 12-year-old Class 7 student of Vidya Vardhaka Sangha School, Kuvempunagar, Mysuru, has achieved a remarkable milestone by setting a new record with Kalam’s World Records titled “Class 7 student defines 40 advanced Class 12-level science concepts and terms in the least time.”
This new record was set by Guhan on Dec.24. He confidently explained 40 concepts related to Class 12-level science in 6 minutes 8 seconds.
Guhan, son of Meghana and Ravishankar, training managers by profession, conducted this record attempt at the STEM Avishkar Centre, Mysuru, where he is learning practical STEM activities.
His achievement highlights his deep interest in science and his consistent curiosity-driven learning approach. This record showcases his remarkable understanding, clarity of expression, and strong grasp of concepts far beyond his grade level.
Guhan’s journey toward this record began with his natural fascination for science at the young age of seven. Encouraged by his teachers, mentors, and parents, he has been exploring advanced scientific topics well beyond his grade level.
He explored and explained topics such as quantum physics while in Class 6 and finds joy in explaining the science hidden around us every day.
His ability to understand, retain and clearly define Class 12 and NEET-level concepts reflects his passion for science.
He aspires to pursue a career in scientific research.
