WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – The Young Scientist Academy (YSA) is hosting its third annual breakfast fundraiser to support hands-on science education in the community.
Organizers said proceeds from the fundraiser will help YSA’s mission to empower the next generation of scientists.
The event will feature student speakers who will share how participation in YSA programs has shaped their confidence, curiosity and future aspirations.
“Through their stories, attendees will gain insight into the meaningful impact donor support has on expanding access to high-quality science, technology, engineering, and math education,” organizers said in a press release.
The event will be held on Jan. 31 at Waterline Brewing Company. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m., and the program starts at 9 a.m.
Registration is open until Jan. 21. Anyone interested in attending can register here.
