The province of Holguin is promoting more than 50 science and innovation projects. Dedicated to priority areas for the economic and social development of the eastern territory. In which hosted the national event for Cuban Science Day.

In collaboration with companies and universities at the national and international levels. The official added that the social sciences and humanities are also addressed. Prioritizing scientific development through a comprehensive program linked to universities.
Holguin also boasts other achievements in the sector. Such as the establishment of the Technical Advisory Council, the only one of its kind in Cuba. Also whose main advances include the introduction of genetically modified seeds into agriculture.
