SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) -From robotics to real-world problem solving, student innovation will take center stage Friday in Savannah.
The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System will host its Science and Engineering Fair Public Showcase on Friday, Jan. 16, highlighting nearly 200 student projects from more than 30 schools across the district.
The public showcase begins at 4:30 p.m. in the Auxiliary Gym at Beach High School, followed by an Awards Ceremony at 5:30 p.m. Projects span elementary, junior, and senior divisions and are being evaluated by more than 100 business and community partners.
Awards will be presented to the top three projects in each category across all divisions. District leaders will also announce which elementary projects advance to the state competition and which junior and senior projects qualify for regional competition, hosted at Savannah State University.
The annual event celebrates creativity, critical thinking, and STEAM excellence across the district and is open to the public.
