Hyderabad: The Department of School Education, in collaboration with the Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum (VITM), Bengaluru, will host the Southern India Science Fair (SISF)–2026 at The Gaudium School, Kollur, RC Puram, from January 19 to 23.
The Southern India Science Fair (SISF) is a prestigious zonal-level annual academic event conducted for students of Classes IX and X and teachers from the six southern States/UTs. Participants are selected from the winners of the respective State-level Science Fairs organised by the State Education Department.
The fair has been conducted continuously since 1981–82 under the aegis of the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and is hosted on a rotational basis by the southern States/Union Territories.
As per the cyclic rotation, Telangana turn has come for the year 2026 to conduct SISF – 2026. Previously in 2018 Telangana State conducted SISF at St. Patrick’s High School, Secunderabad.
Six States/UTs i.e., Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Puducherry and Telangana will participate and each State/UT will present 35 exhibits comprising 10 Student Group Exhibits, 15 Student Individual Exhibits and 10 Teacher Exhibits.
