Despite a late surge by Science Park, Gov. Livingston escaped with a 50-48 victory over Science Park in Berkeley Heights.
Gov. Livingston took control of the game in the third quarter, but Science Park went on a run in the fourth quarter, nearly retaking the lead.
Elijah Garcia scored a team-high 16 points for Gov. Livingston, while James Cannizzaro scored 13 in the win.
Science Park’s Jaedyn Cannon led the comeback effort with a game-high 19 points to go with five rebounds and five steals.
Gov. Livingston (5-6) hosts Cranford at 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 20. Science Park (3-9) travels to North Star Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 19.
