‘Live with Kelly and Mark’ finally moving into new studio after filming show ‘near the cafeteria’ at ABC

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos’ cafeteria days are finally coming to an end.

The couple will officially premiere “Live with Kelly and Mark” on their brand new Hudson Square set on Monday, after braving the compromising conditions of their makeshift studio all week.

Page Six exclusively reported that the host couple would broadcast their show from a temporary space near the ABC cafeteria as they “put the final touches on” their permanent set.

They returned to the show on April 7, and let’s just say, it wasn’t the smoothest week in the interim space.

Viewers of Monday’s episode, for example, were dishing more about the show’s sound system than the guest, “The Handmaid’s Tale” star Elisabeth Moss.

One commenter wrote on X, “They better do something about the echo because I can’t listen to this.”

Several more on social media commented on the stage’s “annoying echo,” and one described the temp set as seeming to “have a cold industrialized atmosphere.”

“Even the audience seems uncomfortable,” they wrote.

Ripa at times seemed uncomfortable, too.

She noted the sound snafu during one segment, acknowledging, “We are clearly beta testing the sound here.”

The married hosts even had to adjust to the icy temperature. “We are just getting hit with a cold arctic blast of air, coming from maybe the outside, I don’t know, but it just rained on us. I am now, I’m frozen,” Ripa said.

The “Live” vet playfully acknowledged the awkward set location when welcoming “The White Lotus” star Walton Goggins as their guest earlier in the week: Ripa warned the studio audience that if didn’t want to hear any spoilers from Sunday’s season finale, “go into the cafeteria!”

But a production source described filming from “the Great Room” this week as “fantastic,” and “a nice way to transition into the building.”

“Everyone is really happy. The space is big, so we had to make some tweaks to the audio at the beginning of the week — but overall these past few days have been a huge hit,” they said.

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Porsha Williams will be their first guest in their permanent spot.

David Oyelowo, Josh Duhamel and Lake Bell are expected to swing by later in the week.

“[We’re] excited for the studio on Monday!” the production source said.

‘G20’ Movie Ending Explained & Summary: Is Rutledge Dead?

G20, the 2025 action thriller film streaming on Prime Video, is just as shallow and outlandish as action films can be, only bolstered by the acting performance of Viola Davis, who, I feel, stands out only because of the mediocrity (in every sense, and not just performance-wise) around her. The plot follows US President Danielle Sutton as she joins the G20 summit being held at Cape Town, along with the elected heads of the 19 other member states, only to realize that she must play the heroic part of the savior, in line with what you’d expect from an American action film, when the event is taken over by terrorists. Overall, G20 is just a silly entertainer made for casual viewing, or perhaps even to invoke a sense of pride for Americans in search of anything to feel good about themselves, given the current financial and political climate.

What is the Amazon Prime film about?

G20 begins inside a church in Budapest, where a woman is seen walking up to the altar and kneeling down to pray before she is joined by a man, making it evident that they are actually here for some other business. The man soon asks the woman, named Quoll, to place the crypto wallet she is carrying under the altar so that he can take it as part of their arrangement. Quoll is not confident in him and so does not want to hand over the wallet just yet, as she wants to get paid the cash amount that she had been promised as part of the deal. Although the man says that she will be paid via bank transfer only after the authenticity of the cryptocurrency stored in her wallet is verified, Quoll refuses to make the deal and instantly realizes that she is in grave danger. 

Keeping the crypto wallet safe with herself, Quoll runs out of the church, avoids getting caught on the streets, and then enters a club, hoping that she has finally escaped. However, another man, named Rutledge, is informed of her location by his team, and he effortlessly injects a deadly poison into Quoll’s neck, killing her, and then picking up the crypto wallet, which is shown to contain 70 million dollars. Thousands of miles away, in the United States of America, President Danielle Sutton had been woken up by her trusted special agent, Manny Ruiz, a few minutes earlier, in order to deal with a very serious matter. As G20 interweaved the scenes of Danielle getting ready to deal with the situation, involving someone codenamed Avid, and the sequence from Budapest, it initially seemed like the POTUS was the one in control of the crypto wallet extraction in Hungary.

However, the two matters turn out to be unrelated, as the urgent matter Danielle has to look into involves her teenage daughter, Serena, having sneaked out to attend a party without any authorization or permission. The President is truly frustrated with her daughter’s habit of flouting all rules and escaping the tight security, which is easy for Serena since she is a tech genius. But Danielle has to put these personal matters aside very soon, as she has to get ready to attend the next G20 summit, being held in Cape Town, South Africa. Since Serena is now grounded for her recent antics, she and her younger brother, Demetrius, are also taken along on the trip, along with their father, Derek. 

Going over all the important matters to be discussed during the summit, and specifically a new economic project that she wants to propose, with her best friend and Treasury Secretary, Joanna Worth, and her trusted bodyguard, Manny Ruiz, Danielle reaches the venue of the summit—a fancy and secluded hotel in Cape Town. Although she expresses her displeasure at the fact that a private security agency has been hired to monitor threats at the place, Danielle feels excited about the G20 summit, completely unaware that it is soon about to be taken over by terrorists. 

What is President Sutton’s Together Plan?

The new economic project that Danielle Sutton is about to propose at the G20 summit is not very directly linked to the terrorist attack that takes place, but it is surely important in giving shape to her character. G20 has absolutely no depth to its characters, or its plot either for that matter, but it still maintains a pretense of being smart and relevant. In the process, the characters, including President Danielle Sutton, do not have much depth to them, being either entirely good or evil. Danielle is obviously on the good side, which is evident from her Together Plan, which intends to eradicate world hunger by donating electronic funds to the economically weaker countries, and she wants the cooperation of the leaders of all the G20 member countries. 

Eradicating hunger worldwide is obviously a very noble plan, and therefore the people who directly or indirectly object to it or refuse to contribute to the electronic funds, like the heads of Russia and Saudi Arabia, are immediately painted in a negative light. But more importantly, there are numerous Americans, both common people and politicians, who are not happy with the President’s plan of donating to African countries in need, because they feel that their own countrymen are still in need of the government’s help. There is a very strong suggestion that these people, particularly the opposition politicians, are opposing Danielle not only because of their political agenda but also because they genuinely do not want to help the poor and are therefore selfish and evil. 

Even before joining the summit in South Africa, Danielle had to face very disrespectful and personal questions from some journalists, clearly aiming to irk her. Since her daughter had just been photographed at a party, which she had attended by breaking protocol and violating safety measures, Danielle was asked whether anyone can indeed trust her abilities to manage the country when she was struggling to manage her own family. The fact that a woman has become the President of the United States, and that too a Black woman, does not seem to sit well with certain parts of the citizenry. In this regard, the film seems to show the very population that had voted in the new president in reality, back in 2024, as slightly prejudiced and self-centered. 

It is revealed that Danielle, who had also served in the US Army, had won the presidential election based on a campaign that was backed by her heroics during her service in Iraq, and particularly based on one photo, which was even featured on the cover of TIME magazine. During the conflict in Iraq, Danielle had rescued a young boy whose family had been killed in terrorist attacks, and she had heroically carried the child out of the building in her arms and had been photographed during this moment. Danielle later claims that the experience was traumatic for her, because she had had to rip the child out of his dead mother’s arms in order to save him, but most of her critics consider her stories of heroism and the photograph to be just publicity shows to make her seem very high and noble. 

Thus, it is perhaps expected that a woman who had seemingly risked her own life to protect a young boy belonging to an enemy nation would try to do something to eradicate world hunger. In the same way, those who can oppose her actions in Iraq and call them fake publicity stunts can also ask for more resources and wealth, despite having more than enough for themselves, and prevent any donation plans from being executed. But the discussions on the Together Plan need to be put aside for the moment, as a group of terrorists soon take over the summit and carry out their own plans.

Why does Rutledge launch the attack on the G20 summit?

While Rutledge, the antagonist in G20, makes tall claims of being a slightly more violent version of Robin Hood, who intends to steal from the rich to give to the poor, he is soon unmasked to be an evil man with no intention of helping anyone. When Rutledge first takes over the summit and addresses the shocked citizens of the world, he says that his motive behind this takeover is to expose the selfish and manipulative nature of politicians, who only want to steal from the public. He directly targets Danielle Sutton through this speech as well, stating that he has enough proof to show to the world that she too has been pretending to be concerned about the poorer countries, while in reality she just wants to tax the people more for her Together Plan and then pocket the money for herself and her friends.

While this claim gives a faint hope that there might be some layers to the plot in G20, all such hope vanishes soon when the real intention of Rutledge is revealed. He calls for the common citizens of every country who are represented by their leaders at the summit to withdraw all their money from official institutions like banks and government schemes and invest all of it digitally in cryptocurrency, because trusting one’s wealth to these institutions is now risky. Rutledge acknowledges that withdrawing money from banks on such a large scale will crash the market and also the government finances, and he insists that people do this and finally take control of their lives in their own hands instead of relying on corrupt politicians.

Rutledge knows that he needs to prove his claims to the world, and for this he takes all the prime ministers and presidents at G20 hostage, and forces them to read a certain nonsensical phrase in front of the cameras. This is basically done to train a highly powerful and efficient AI to be able to generate deep-fake videos of the world leaders saying what Rutledge wants them to say. Once the plan is executed, these fake videos of the world leaders discussing among themselves how the Together Plan will be used to fool the public and loot more money from them are broadcast throughout the world. This leads to tremendous social instability, as people all over the world start to protest, riot, and take up arms to fend for themselves. 

During the confrontation between Rutledge and Danielle, it is revealed that the man had also once served in the US Army, during which time he was so traumatized by his experiences that he lost his moral compass. Incidentally, he was also present during the operation at Fallujah during which the famous photograph of Danielle had been taken. But Rutledge gradually started to believe that the American politicians had intentionally started all these wars and conflicts all over the world in order to fool the public and fill their own pockets, because of which he grew a strong hatred against them. He then founded his own private militia and started operating in missions intended to bring down governments. However, although these claims make Rutledge seem like a troubled ex-soldier who had grown weary of the false promises of politicians and generals, his actual motive at present is also to make more money for himself. The whole purpose of the G20 summit takeover was to create deep-fake videos of the world leaders and convince citizens to invest in cryptocurrency instead of conventional forms of finance. A few days before the summit, Rutledge had stolen the cryptocurrency wallet from Quoll, which was shown at the beginning of G20, and he’d then made the plan to increase the 70 million dollars stored in it into billions. Thus, as he manages to make the people of the world go berserk and invest all their savings into cryptocurrency, the amount in the wallet keeps increasing, much to the pleasure of Rutledge.

What is the biggest betrayal in the film?

While Rutledge is the main antagonist, Danielle Sutton eventually learns that one of her closest aides had also been a part of the operation, in what turns out to be the biggest betrayal in G20. While Danielle always believed Joanna Worth to be her best friend, despite some differences between them in the recent past, Joanna had actually betrayed her. Before the presidential elections, Joanna too had been a candidate, and therefore a rival of Danielle, despite the two of them having worked in the field of politics for a long time together. In an attempt to dissuade voters from voting for Danielle, Joanna had publicly called her a warmonger, which the public did not take very well at all. Joanna had completely lost her support base after this statement, and she was eliminated from the presidential race.

Despite Danielle having moved on from this incident, Joanna could never get over her feeling of jealousy, as she had desperately wished to be the President of the USA. Therefore, when Rutledge put together his plan of taking over the G20 summit and destabilizing governments all over the world, Joanna saw this as a great opportunity to promote herself to the position of POTUS, as Danielle would have surely been impeached or voted out because of her deep-fake video. Thus, Joanna Worth had been helping Rutledge in this operation, and she even tries to keep his crypto wallet safe for him towards the end of the film.

Did President Sutton Kill Rutledge?

President Danielle Sutton had been given the dual role of being an ideal mother and an ideal leader at the same time by G20 from its very beginning, and by the end, she managed to thrive in both the roles. Her teenage daughter, Serena, had started questioning her worth, just like every other teenager, but when she sees Danielle taking down enemies or efficiently shooting through hordes of private soldiers, Serena cannot help but be impressed. Most of the action sequences seem to be designed to impress both the viewers and Serena at the same time, as Danielle becomes the epitome of what the POTUS should be, as she picks up the gun and protects everyone herself.

In G20’s ending, Danielle and Rutledge have an intense clash inside a helicopter atop the roof of the hotel, and it initially seems like both fall off into the sea below. However, it is finally revealed that Danielle had survived by holding on to the ledge, while the villainous Rutledge dies by falling from a great height. Thus, President Sutton manages to save the world as well as her family, as Derek’s bulletproof vest had saved him when he was shot by Rutledge. Joanna is put behind bars for her conspiracy, and the G20 summit is finally held, with the Together Plan being approved by each of the participating nations, making everyone happy and immensely proud of the POTUS.

In a mid-credits scene, the Sutton family is seen at the White House together, taking a look at the dress and shoes that Danielle had worn during the whole fiasco, which have now been put up on display to inspire the citizens. This confirms that Danielle Sutton has not only managed to remain the president, but her popularity has risen higher than ever before.

‘Frozen Hot Boys’ Movie Ending Explained & Summary: What Happens To Jab?

In the ending of Netflix’s Frozen Hot Boys, Chom and the boys of Benjatham juvenile home reunite after Jab finishes his term in prison. This is a film that tells the classic story of how a little bit of care, unity, and teamwork can take you a long way. The film tells the story of 5 juvie boys who come together when a teacher at the home is eager to go to Japan to meet her own father. Chom has been working at this school for a while, under her mom, but she doesn’t care about the job at all; the only thing she really wants is her dad’s love and affection. On the other hand, we have 5 misunderstood misfits who have committed varying degrees of crime. To adult society, they seem to be a disgrace, beyond saving, but to Chom, they’re an opportunity to take her to her dad. See, Chom’s dad has moved to Sapporo, Japan, where he has a new family of his own. When he invites her over, she thinks she can take some of her boys to the snow carving festival held there every year. At first, it seems an impossible task, but soon enough, Chom identifies a prodigy. Will the Benjatham boys be able to win? Let’s find out in Frozen Hot Boys.

What Happens To Jab Before The Gang Goes To Sapporo? 

In a world where nobody believes in kids or listens to them, Chom discovers that Jab has a real talent for carving. Jab’s life’s been a mess ever since his mom died, and he found himself in juvie soon after because his dad was a drunk, and though he didn’t want to be like him, he ended up in trouble anyway. We never find out if he actually burned down the previous prison or if he accidentally started a fire, but I guess what we can assume is that Jab was hurting, and this was just his way of rebelling. When Jab joins Chom’s class, because it’s apparently the easiest one there, he shows real skill in carving a beautiful little bird even though that isn’t the assignment, and Chom is immediately impressed. For Chom, this is another connection to her dad, who also carved a bird for her back when she was a kid. 

Immediately, Chom’s spirits are lifted, and she decides to enroll the boys in the competition. She makes an exciting presentation, mostly about how the boss man’s face will be all over billboards if he greenlights this project, and it works. Jab also makes a beautiful ice sculpture during this presentation, after hesitating to do it at first, because I think he feels Chom’s pain of wanting to be close to her dad. Plus, he’s desperate for redemption. There is a gang at this juvenile home called the Eagle Fang Gang, and they decide they need to teach Jab and his boys a lesson, just because they’re actually doing something with their lives. Chom’s already asked one of their members, Jo, to join her group because he’s tattooed all the gang members with eagles, and he’s really skilled as a designer, but he refuses because it is, of course, not something he’s interested in. But Jo later decides he wants to join too, because Chom asks him to be their designer. Just as Jo is about to stab Win in the hand with a chisel after the gang’s beaten the boys up thoroughly, they’re caught. But before they can be beaten by the adult guard, Chom comes in the way. This is when Chom shows that she truly cares for these boys and believes in them, and just like that, a team is formed. 

The kids manage to defeat the reigning champions from Thailand because Chom notices they’re cheating, but also the boys do really well, and finally it’s time to go to Japan. Before they head out, the boys have a heart-to-heart, expressing how they’ve each made mistakes and were mostly acting on impulse rather than actually wanting to harm someone. Jo killed a boy in self-defense, Toomtam tried to steal a general’s safe so his mom would stop hating him, and Win killed his stepdad to stop him from killing Win’s mom. 

Just before they’re meant to leave, the boys have to get slips signed by their parents so they’re allowed to leave the country. When Jab goes home to his dad,  a candle maker himself,  who is the reason he’s able to carve so well. Jab’s dad gets too drunk and lashes out at his son. Jab tries to defend himself, but he accidentally pushes his dad, causing him injuries on his head and a broken arm. Jab makes it out of the country, but this is when the news spreads that he hurt his dad on purpose and doesn’t deserve to leave the country. But will Jab be able to prove his innocence? Not exactly. 

Does Chom Get What She’s Looking For? 

In Sapporo, Chom leaves the boys by themselves to go see her dad because, technically, that’s the primary reason she’s there. She meets her dad, and at first, it’s all wonderful. She’s like a child again when they build snowpeople together. But, when it comes time to meet his new family, her dad starts to change tactics. Chom thinks he invited her to build a relationship with her, but instead, he just wanted to show her what she’s missing out on. Well, not exactly, but he doesn’t care that she wants to move there to be with him for a bit. When Chom’s half-sister tells her she wants her to come along to the zoo, Chom’s dad says that it will be too awkward and that it’s a family affair, in Japanese. What he doesn’t know is that Chom studied her Japanese just because she’s been waiting to come see him. She tells her half-sister that she’s thankful but has somewhere to be, finally freeing herself from the pressure of wanting her dad to be proud of her. In the end, after they go back, it’s her mom who says those words to her, “I’m proud of you,” and nothing could be more meaningful for Chom. While Chom’s relationship with her mom is not really explored in the film, it’s obvious that they’re like-minded and can’t see eye to eye because they’re both strong-willed. “Like mother, like daughter,” as they say, but Chom finally realizes that her mum actually cares about her. 

What Happens At The Competition? 

During Frozen Hot Boys’ ending, the boys don’t win the competition, but get an honorable mention for their phoenix carving. They may not have won the competition, but by this time, they’ve won the hearts of the Thai people by working together even when it looked like things were not going to work out for them. Just like the wing of the bird that almost snapped off, the boys were nearly broken before they got on this team. Chom tells them to add more snow and water to fill up the gaps, just as she took care of the boys with care and support, but most importantly, believing in them. In the end, Jab is arrested because he was already 18 when he assaulted his dad, but the team is by his side the moment he’s out of prison. 

The boys saw their snowy phoenix light up on fire and take off because it meant they finally put themselves out there fully without worrying about consequences or without having a wrong reason to do it. They’ve finally risen from the ashes, the “Frozen” “Hot” boys. Frozen Hot Boys ends on a positive note, reminding us that just a little bit of support, belief, and help can turn carbon into a diamond. Just like that, the boys are all improving, and Chom will always be remembered by them.
