Israel’s Prime Minister Addresses U.S. Congress

On Wednesday, Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s Prime Minister, addressed a joint session of the U.S. Congress.  While the speech emphasized long-standing and close ties between the U.S. and Israel, it also exposed the divisions in American society that have been stirred by the war in Israel.  

For example, some Democratic lawmakers boycotted the address, while protestors outside the Capitol condemned the war and the resulting humanitarian crisis.  Some protestors spray painted marble statues and replaced American flags with Palestinian ones.

Nonetheless, Netanyahu presented a nearly hour long speech, interrupted by frequent applause.  Crosstalk presents this speech, which highlighted the shared interest in Israel’s fight against Hamas terrorists and other armed groups backed by Iran.

The Current Political Landscape

Robert Knight is a former Los Angeles Times news editor and columnist for the Washington Times as well as other publications.  Robert has had senior positions in a number of pro-family organizations.  He’s also written several books including, The Coming Communist Wave: What Happens if the Left Captures All Three Branches of Government,  Liberty on the Brink and Crooked: What Really Happened in the 2020 Election and How to Stop the Fraud.

It seems lately that the news cycle has been spinning faster and faster.  There was Biden’s COVID diagnosis which turned out to be mild.  Then after saying he wouldn’t drop out of the presidential race, he did which brought record-breaking contributions to the war chest of VP Kamala Harris.  There was intense grilling of the Secret Service resulting in the resignation of Director Kimberly Cheatle and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave a very stirring and well received message before a joint session of Congress.    

In addition to discussing these matters, Robert also brought his perspective on what we can expect when President Biden speaks tonight, how vulnerable he sees our nation, the U.S. posture toward Israel, illegal aliens and voting laws, his greatest concern as we head closer to the election and much more.

Biden Steps Aside…What’s Next?

Mat Staver is founder & chairman of Liberty Counsel.  Mat is a constitutional attorney with three landmark cases before the U.S. Supreme Court.  He’s an author and the host of the radio broadcasts Faith & Freedom and Freedom’s Call.

Yesterday, President Biden succumbed to pressure from within his own party to withdraw from receiving the Democratic nomination for president.  

As early as November of last year, while debating during his own run for president, then candidate Vivek Ramaswamy asked the Democrats to, “End this farce that Joe Biden is going to be your nominee.  We know he’s not even the president of the United States.  He’s a puppet for the managerial class.”

Jim then communicated his thoughts when he described things this way.  He said “…a coup was launched within his own party to pull the rug from underneath him (Biden).”

Given Biden’s cognitive condition and decline, Mat communicated that the president was a puppet of people who have been moving the strings of a man they knew wasn’t competent to run the U.S.  As a result, he made a fool of us both domestically and internationally.  In fact, he believes it looked like elder abuse.

Why hasn’t President Biden addressed the nation on TV about his stepping down from the Democratic nomination?  There hasn’t even been a press conference.  This is  especially troubling given the fact that we’re told his COVID symptoms are minor.

So where exactly is President Joe Biden?  Since we don’t know, who’s running America?  If he’s not competent/capable of running for president, how can he be capable of being the president right now?  In other words, should he immediately resign and step down?  How might our enemies be looking at this?  What does this mean for Vice-President Kamala Harris and the upcoming Democratic National Convention?  Is she part of the cover-up?  Get the answers to these and other related questions on this important edition of Crosstalk.

RNC Convention Coverage – Day 4

Heidi Engelhart is a delegate from South Dakota.

Grover Norquist is the President of Americans for Tax Reform, a taxpayer advocacy group founded in 1985 at the request of President Reagan. They work to limit the size and cost of government and oppose higher taxes on all levels. Grover also serves on the board of the Parental Rights Organization and is a past board member of the NRA.

Congressman Scott Fitzgerald represents Wisconsin’s 5th Congressional District.

Tony Kinnett is an Investigative Columnist with the Daily Signal and a former award-winning teacher and administrator. He served in the area of education policy for the Governor Scott Walker Administration and regularly appears on national news platforms. He is also a radio host in Indianapolis.

Congressman Tom Tiffany represents Wisconsin’s 7th Congressional District which includes Northern and Western Wisconsin. He was first elected to this seat in a special election in 2020 having served previously in the Wisconsin Assembly and Senate. He serves on the Committee on Natural Resources and also on the Committee of the Judiciary including crime, terrorism and homeland security as well as immigration and citizenship.

Today was another information-packed program to put it lightly. Jim was able to hear from 5 different guests. Several topics were explored including the guests’ reaction to the RNC so far, property rights, abortion, the anticipation of Trump’s speech this evening, limiting the size and scope of government, U.S. debt, education, parental rights, illegal immigration, border security and the investigation into the attempted assassination of Former President Trump.

RNC Convention Coverage – Day 3

Rep. Adam Morgan represents the 20th District in the South Carolina House. He serves both on the Education and Public Works Committee as well as Legislative Oversight Committee.

Terry Schilling is the President of American Principles Project which finds the family as the most important American Institution and therefore they engage and campaign as an advocate of the family. He has previously worked for several pro-family political leaders including Senator Sam Brownback and Representative Chris Smith.

Terry Dittrich is the Chairman of the Waukesha County Republican Party.

The theme today at the RNC Convention is national security and foreign policy. Following this theme, Jim gathered comments from these three guests in the specific areas of their greatest concerns for America, education issues, attacks against the family and the online assault of children. Laced throughout the discussion was the importance of local races.

RNC Convention Coverage – Day 2

Yesterday was a momentous day at the Republican National Convention. Former President Trump made it public that he has selected Senator J.D. Vance of Ohio as his Vice-Presidential running mate. There was great applause and accolades given at the convention concerning the pick. Also the crowd at the RNC ignited as Trump was seen on the video screen making his way to the Convention and then appeared. The applause was thunderous. Just 48 hours previously, he had escaped an assassination attempt. Trump credits his survival to “God alone.”

Yesterday the Convention focused on the theme “Make America Wealthy Again” in regards to the escalating inflation every American is feeling at the grocery store, at the gas pump, and in everyday purchases. Today, the theme is “Make America Safe Again.”

During the course of the program, Greg Sindelar, Dr. Richard Schmidt and Rep. Tom Tiffany were engaged with questions regarding their take on what is happening at the RNC, Trump’s pick of J.D. Vance, America’s future, the attempted assassination, and border security.

RNC Convention Coverage – Day 1

Dr. Richard Schmidt is the Pastor of Union Grove Baptist Church and the founder of Prophecy Focus Ministries. He is an author. He spent 32 years in law enforcement including that of Acting Sheriff of Milwaukee County until his retirement.

Dr. Neal Jackson is the Pastor of Beulah Baptist Church in Bennett, NC and a North Carolina Legislator representing the 78th House District.

The program opened with breaking news from this morning that a federal judge in Florida dismissed the criminal classified documents case that was brought against Donald J. Trump.

Jim interviewed Schmidt during the first half regarding security at the RNC, Schmidt’s personal reaction to the attempted assassination of Donald Trump, the challenges of open air venues, and who might be at fault for the security failure at Trump’s rally. Schmidt’s bottom line through all of these issues unfolding is that everyone needs Jesus Christ.

Jim played two audio clips from rally attendees who shared their first-hand accounts of what happened. These witnesses both describe seeing a man on a roof with a rifle minutes prior to the shots being fired.

During the course of this program, news broke that Trump has chosen 39-year-old J.D. Vance from Ohio as his Vice President. Also, more news broke that RFK Jr. is to receive Secret Service protection. Lastly, it was announced that Donald Trump has received enough convention delegate votes to become the official GOP presidential nominee.

Jim brought Jackson on during the remaining half of the program. Jackson shared his reaction to the J.D. Vance pick and his reaction to the attempted assassination. Trump gave “God alone” the credit for sparing his life.

Given that Jackson represents North Carolina, Jim inquired about the separation of church and state. Can a Christian be a politician? Does God care what happens in politics? How can a believer influence the legislative process? Is it biblical to vote for the lesser of two evils?

–Lawmakers in the House Financial Services Committee got into a tense exchange Tuesday after Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen was questioned about President Biden’s cognitive issues.  

–President Biden’s cabinet meetings…are they scripted?

–Yesterday, President Biden introduced Ukrainian President Zelinski as being President Putin.

–Last evening, during a solo press conference, President Biden mistakenly referred to VP Kamala Harris as Vice President Trump.

–MSNBC interviewed Dr. Tom Pitts on the issue of Parkinson’s disease and President Biden.  Jim provided audio of the doctor’s opinion. 

–The White House released a letter on Monday saying that visits by a Parkinson’s expert had nothing to do with President Biden.

–The House Oversight Committee has subpoenaed 3 top Biden administration officials to testify before Congress concerning President Biden’s mental fitness.

–Despite the spin from Team Biden, the presser last evening failed to impress big ticket donors supporting the Biden reelection effort. 

–VP Kamala Harris has expressed her support for President Biden following his debate performance but is increasing her role in the campaign ahead of the November election.

–Under siege from fellow Democrats, President Biden’s campaign is quietly testing the strength of Vice President Kamala Harris against former President Trump in a head-to-head survey of voters.
