Islam:  Politics and Violence

Date: August 7, 2024 Host: Jim Schneider Guest: Usama Dakdok MP3 | Order

Usama Dakdok is the founder of the Straight Way of Grace Ministry.  He’s the speaker on the daily radio broadcast, Revealing the Truth About Islam.  He speaks fluent Arabic and has translated the Qur’an into English.  He is the author of Exposing the Truth about the Qur’an and Exposing the Truth About Jihad and the booklets, The Violent Truth about Islam and The Straight Way to Eternal Life.

Yesterday the decision was finalized by Vice President Kamala Harris to choose Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to be her running mate.  Walz is an aggressive supporter of abortion and the LGBTQ agenda.  However, on this edition of Crosstalk, Jim and Usama took a look at another side of the ticket as it relates to the issue of Islam.

Beginning with Harris, you’ll hear from her own words her support for Islam as she notes how we must reject phrases like “radical Islamic terror” and “illegal alien”.  What she fails to recognize, and as Usama explained, there are six verses in the Qur’an where Allah calls himself a terrorist because he terrorized the infidels.  This is consistent with the 1,450 years of terrorism history from this religion, yet when Usama and others speak the truth about Islam, they’re accused of preaching hate.

Her running mate, Tim Walz, has also been a promoter of Islam. You’ll understand why when you hear an audio clip from the governor himself.  In spite of the national security implications of Islam that Usama has warned about many times over the years, Governor Walz expresed his support, even going so far as desiring to host the first Iftar celebration at the governor’s residence.

There’s much more to hear, including input from listeners nationwide.

Israel on High Alert

Date: August 6, 2024 Host: Jim Schneider Guest: Dr. Richard Schmidt MP3 | Order

Dr. Richard Schmidt is pastor of Union Grove Baptist Church and founder of Prophecy Focus Ministries.  He’s the speaker on the weekly TV program, Prophecy Focus and the radio broadcast, Prophecy Unfolding.  He spent 32 years in law enforcement including that of Acting Sheriff of Milwaukee County until his retirement.  He has authored several books including: Are You Going to a Better Place?, Daniel’s Gap Paul’s Mystery, Tribulation to Triumph: The Olivet Discourse, Globalism: The Great World Consumption and Artificial Intelligence: Transhumanism and the De-evolution of Democracy.

Pastor Schmidt brought a biblical perspective to two major items in the news–the new Kamala Harris/Tim Walz presidential team and the tensions between Israel and Iran.  In the latter case, he discusses how biblical prophecy shows God is not through with the nation of Israel and how they will eventually turn to Christ as at the present time they are serving God in unbelief.

So will there be a hostage deal or cease-fire?  What are we to make of the tunnels found in Rafah?   While rockets fired at Israel are being taken out by their “Iron Dome”, is all of this tension setting the stage for the Ezekiel 38-39 war?  These and other questions were answered, while listeners were given their chance to respond to this situation that Crosstalk continues to watch closely.

Climate Change for Kids…and Parents Too

Date: August 5, 2024 Host: Jim Schneider Guest: Ken Ham MP3 | Order

Ken Ham is founder and CEO of Answers in Genesis and its two life-changing attractions, the highly acclaimed Creation Museum, and the world-renowned Ark Encounter.  Ken is a biblical apologist and author of more than 30 books. Some of his latest include Divine Dilemma (understanding death, disease, and suffering), Divided Nation (about today’s culture wars), and the devotional commentary Creation to Babel.  Ken is a blogger and speaker on Answers…with Ken Ham.

Ken described the climate change movement as a religious, anti-God movement that causes man to become his own God.  In this regard he described the time last year when John Kerry returned from the World Economic Forum.  Kerry described how there’s an elite group of people that will save mankind and the planet.  That’s unbiblical because it’s God who saves, not man.

So just as with the creation/evolution issue, the beliefs of people determine their worldview.  That in turn determines how they’ll view things like fossils, life, or in the case of this broadcast…climate.  It appears to be all about fear mongering in order to obtain control.

Why do we need carbon dioxide in the atmosphere?  Why is water vapor so important?  Why is there an emphasis on not eating meat and not having children among the climate change crowd?  Can man destroy the earth?  Hasn’t the climate always been changing?  Does observational science compare with the information put forth by those spreading fear of climate change?  Ken answers these questions, as he describes his new book, on this edition of Crosstalk.

Hateful LGBTQ Adherents Issue Threats

Date: August 1, 2024 Host: Jim Schneider Guest: Mat Staver MP3 | Order

Mat Staver is founder & chairman of Liberty Counsel.  Mat is a constitutional attorney with three landmark cases before the U.S. Supreme Court.  He’s an author and the host of the radio broadcasts Faith & Freedom and Freedom’s Call.

It is Christians that are often accused of hate for simply agreeing with the Bible  that the practices espoused by the LGBTQ movement are an abomination to God.  To put it another way, such individuals sometimes accuse Christians of projecting hate when in reality, they are the ones that are guilty of such behavior.

The latest example is the extreme hate being shown Kim Davis through threats of physical violence, rape, death and arson.  Kim is a retired Rowan County, Kentucky, clerk who several years ago boldly refused to violate her conscience when confronted with having to issue a marriage license to people of the same sex.

Upon asking for a religious accommodation, Kim was sued and ended up in jail for six days which brought her international attention.  She eventually did receive her religious accommodation from then Governor Mat Bevin, but the ACLU continued to press forward and now she has a judgment against her for $360,000.

The reason Kim’s case is catching so much media attention once again is because this case could be the one to overturn the 2015 Obergefell decision.  Mat explains why and how this is causing not only Kim, but Liberty Counsel to be under threat of violence for daring to represent Davis in this battle and help her stand up for her constitutional rights.

SCOTUS Targeted for Takeover

Date: July 30, 2024 Host: Jim Schneider Guest: William J. Federer MP3 | Order

William Federer is a nationally known speaker, historian, author, and president of Amerisearch, Inc.  He’s the speaker on The American Minute daily broadcast.  He has authored numerous books including, America’s God and Country Encyclopedia of Quotations, Who is the King in America?, and Socialism: The Real History From Plato to the Present – How the Deep State Capitalizes on Crises to Consolidate Control.

In 1937, Democrat President Franklin D. Roosevelt didn’t like the fact that the Supreme Court was not supporting all of his “New Deal” programs. Such programs were taking power away from citizens, local and state authorities and giving it to the federal government.  For example, Roosevelt outlawed private ownership of gold and he took over factories and farms.

The Supreme Court was the “check and balance” against this trampling of people’s rights.  In response, Roosevelt wanted to make the Supreme Court a “rubber stamp” for his policies.  This meant a showdown was about to take place.  However, that never happened because a couple of Supreme Court justices died and he was able to appoint replacements that were sympathetic to his reforms.

It appears that a similar power grab is under way by the Biden/Harris administration.  A press release from the Harris for President campaign said the following:

“That is why President Biden and I are calling on Congress to pass important reform–from imposing term limits for Justices’ active service, to requiring Justices to comply with binding ethics rules just like every other federal judge. And finally, in our democracy, no one should be above the law so we must also insure that no former president has immunity for crimes committed while in the White House.”

Review this broadcast where you’ll learn from history why this call for reform is so troubling and hear how listeners feel about this issue as well.

Fatal Attack Targets Israel Again

Date: July 29, 2024 Host: Jim Schneider Guest: Chris Katulka MP3 | Order

Chris Katulka is assistant director of North American Ministries at The Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry and host of The Friends of Israel Today radio program.  He is a Bible teacher, writer for Israel My Glory magazine and is author of the book, Israel Always.

This past Saturday, 12 young people were killed when a rocket hit a soccer field in the Golan Heights.  The attack came on the heels of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech before the U.S. Congress.  Interestingly, the speech was boycotted by U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris who’s running for the Democratic nomination for president.

This broadcast looked at the attack, the prime minister’s U.S. visit, the protests during his visit, the cease-fire talks and Israel being targeted by protesters at the Olympics.

Why has the White House been so quiet about this latest attack on Israel?  What are we to make of the opening ceremony of the Olympics that blasphemed Jesus and the Last Supper?  Chris, as well as listeners, had much to say regarding these points, on this edition of Crosstalk.

Israel’s Prime Minister Addresses U.S. Congress

Date: July 25, 2024 Host: Dalton Windsor MP3 | Order

On Wednesday, Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s Prime Minister, addressed a joint session of the U.S. Congress.  While the speech emphasized long-standing and close ties between the U.S. and Israel, it also exposed the divisions in American society that have been stirred by the war in Israel.

For example, some Democratic lawmakers boycotted the address, while protestors outside the Capitol condemned the war and the resulting humanitarian crisis.  Some protestors spray painted marble statues and replaced American flags with Palestinian ones.

Nonetheless, Netanyahu presented a nearly hour long speech, interrupted by frequent applause.  Crosstalk presents this speech, which highlighted the shared interest in Israel’s fight against Hamas terrorists and other armed groups backed by Iran.

The Current Political Landscape

Date: July 24, 2024 Host: Jim Schneider Guest: Robert Knight MP3 | Order

Robert Knight is a former Los Angeles Times news editor and columnist for the Washington Times as well as other publications.  Robert has had senior positions in a number of pro-family organizations.  He’s also written several books including, The Coming Communist Wave: What Happens if the Left Captures All Three Branches of Government,  Liberty on the Brink and Crooked: What Really Happened in the 2020 Election and How to Stop the Fraud.

It seems lately that the news cycle has been spinning faster and faster.  There was Biden’s COVID diagnosis which turned out to be mild.  Then after saying he wouldn’t drop out of the presidential race, he did which brought record-breaking contributions to the war chest of VP Kamala Harris.  There was intense grilling of the Secret Service resulting in the resignation of Director Kimberly Cheatle and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave a very stirring and well received message before a joint session of Congress.

In addition to discussing these matters, Robert also brought his perspective on what we can expect when President Biden speaks tonight, how vulnerable he sees our nation, the U.S. posture toward Israel, illegal aliens and voting laws, his greatest concern as we head closer to the election and much more.
